The Richland Police Department and its members are an integral part of our community. When you see our officers out in the community, they are there for you - enforcing laws, ensuring public safety, and caring for and responding to those in need.

Fire Department

In case of emergency dial 911.  The Richland Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection to the Richland community.

The Fire Department's mission is to prevent the loss of life and property. In addition to responding to fires, the Richland Volunteer Fire Department also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials.

The Richland Public Works Department is committed to providing quality, reliable, and efficient public services to maintain a safe, healthy and attractive community for our residents and visitors. Core services include maintenance of the city’s infrastructure including streets, sidewalks, sanitation system, water, trees, and public spaces.

Zoning

All property within the City limits of Richland is zoned and subject to regulations and standards specific to the zoning district. Zoning governs how property owners can use their land, including dimensional standards such as building height and setbacks between properties and rights-of-ways, and what uses are permitted. For mixed-use and industrial districts, zoning can also dictate how many parking spaces are required for use, architectural standards for buildings, and landscape standards.
